Continuing his research into ways humans are altering our planet, what this might mean, and what we can do about it, Rick Soller will be returning to lead us in an exploration of Oceans and Climate Change, Wednesday afternoons, 1:30pm to 3pm at the ASC.  We'll attempt to integrate what we learned last term about the basics of climate change with what part the oceans might play in our ongoing planetary drama.  Living in a coastal environment makes knowledge of marine dynamics very relevant to our daily lives.  Recognizing that our thirst for the finite concentrated energy of fossil fuels has quite likely brought about climatic alteration should encourage us to seek ways of future mitigation.  This is an extremely complex subject and we'll be dashing through it in four weeks, so jump on board while you can.
